ENROLMENT, FIGURES
On an average, the'enrolment figures at the chief secondary schools in .Wellington show an increase on those of last year. ••' • -: The total number.of pupils on the roll at Wellington College this year isabout 750, and of this number. 230 are new pupils. Compared with. last year there is an increase of 40 new pupils. There are about 1070 pupils at the Technical High School, the number of new pupils being about 500. The figures show an increase on those of last year. ■.' _ At the Wellington Girls' College new enrolments total 170, while the total number attending the college is 482, which is about the same as last year. The ' Wellington East Girls'- College roll at the present time stands at about 390, including about 150 new pupils. Over 100 now pupils were received at Bongotai College at the start of the school year. The roll now stands at 551, about 25 more than last year. An increase is shown in the roll at Scots College, particularly among the boarding pupils. Out of ISI pupils at St. Patrick's College, Cambridge terrace, _ about 60 are new pupils. At most of the schools enrolling has _9*'y.|t _ _ completed,
