LIBERAL 1 PARTY MOVE

A NATIONAL • FEDERATION

In preparation for the next General Election, which is unlikely for two or perhaps three years, the Liberals of Canada have launched a new organisation .called the National Liberal Federation of Canada; and propose to carry on :an active campaign of education; stated a recent paragraph emanating from Ottawa. The inaugural -meeting was attended by many Liberal members of Parliament and -other party* leaders. The "honorary president is Mr. Mackenzie King,, and: the president is Mr. Vincent Massey, th> first Canadian Minister to the "United States. As a basis, of membership the federation will have* all Liberal associations and organisations throughout Canada, and a special feature of its plans is the_ proposed development of a list of individual associate and sustaining! memberships. A permanent office has been opened in Ottawa with Mr. Norman Lambert, a former; newspaper writer, in charge-as : general secretary and chief organiser.
