CALCUTTA, 7th February. Many questions regarding Gandhi were asked in the Legislative Assembly yesterday. Sir Harry Haig, Home member, replying, declared that the Government was not prepared to agree to Gandhi's release, as according to a statement made by Gandhi last month disobedience was still the avowed-policy of the Congress . leaders. His release would lead to an intensification of the resistance campaign.
