SYDNEY, 7th February. ' ■ The Commonwealth Bank and also the trading banks announce a reduction of % per cent, in the rates for fixed deposits. The rates now are: Three months, 2 per cent.; six months, 2% per cent.; 12 months, 2% per cent.; twenty-four months, 3 per cent.
