SWIMMING CARNIVAL

Allan, the veteran local swimmer, will be competing in his thousandth .race,-a goal wnich.he is reaching after thirty years, of competitive swimming. ,Handicap events, for which large ■ entries have'been received, and diving, are also on the programme. The polo match, Wellington representatives v. The Rest; will serve as a final try-out before the representative team leaves for Napier to compete in the New Zealand championships. Popular prices of admission will be charged.
