SURF COMPETITIONS
The Wellington surf section of the Boyal Life-saying Society will hold the competitions for the Law Rose Bowl, the Kennedy Marching Cup and the Sanderson Cup at Paekakariki'next Sunday, commencing at 11.15 a.m. A band from Palmerston North will be in attendance, and officials from the Manawatu Head Centre will also bo present. Trains will leave Thorndon station at 8.40 a.niJ and 9 a.m. The officials for the day will be as follows: Judges, Mr. H. Header (Law Kose Bowl), Mr. P. Edwards (Kennedy Marching Cup), Mr. A. P. Anyon (Sanderson Cup); referee, Mr. P. Chapman; marshal, Mr. N. A. Ingram; timekeepers, Messrs. V. Allen (chief), J. McNie, J. Foley, and W. 11. Gerrie.
