MEETING OF COUNCIL
KIRK-WINDEYER CUP
The monthly meeting of the New Zealand Golf Association"was held at the secretary's office on Monday, when there were present Sir Alexander Roberts (chairman), Messrs. A. D. S. Duncan> E. Page, J. H. Drake, A. K. Scla'nders, and G. O, Sutton (secretary). • The secretary reported that he had written, to the, secretary of the Australian Golf Union asking for advice as to what State or States would be sending' teams to Auckland as Easter, and had received a cablegram in reply to the effect that the Kirk-Windeyer Cup was not under the jurisdiction of the' Australian Union, and that the Victorian.and New South Wales 1 Associations had been asked to advice the New- Zealand Association. It was decided that it was desirable to place the control o£ the competition, so far as Australia was concerned, with, the Australian Golf Union, in order that there might be one official body in Australia to refer to when required, and the secretary was directed to write to Mr. W. A. Windeyer and endeavour to have this given effect to.
