Eight were killed and about a hundred injured in a terrific explosion at a Billancourt motor works on the outskirts of Paris. The explosion wrecked the power-house, the roof of which was lifted and crashed on an adjoining workroom, injuring a number of the occupants. The wreckage of the powerhouse was scattered over a wide area, and workmen were struck by flying metal. The explosion was due to a boiler bursting.
