A NOVEL CLOCK
A London firm of goldsmiths and (Jewellers lately exhibited a remarkable clock which, it is claimed, is almost Jperpetnal in action. It is driven by changes of temperature; if the temperature moves only by one degree, motive Jpower for the clock is provided for over a week. The changes of temperature affect the mercury in a two-legged tube. ,The mercury rises at one side or the jother as 'the temperature rises or falls, iand this movement is utilised to wind |the clock. . . j
