HEMP GRADINGS.
Hemp graded at various ports during December amounted to 3201 bales, compared -with 1260 bales for December, 1931 Of the total graded last month 384 bales were good fair, 681 high fair, and 1264 low fair. Tow graded amounted to 931 bales, an increase of 550 bales over December, 1931.
The Department of Agriculture is adVised by the High. Commissioner, London, 14th January, as follows:—The Manila hemp market is dull and easier. K. grade for January-March shipment sold at £16 The sisal market is quiet, and No. 1 good, marks for December-January shipment Bold at £14 10s.
