FRUIT EXPORT TRADE
The Fruit Board has announced that the first shipment of fruit for export has eeen allotted on the Tamaroa, loading in .Wellington on 6th and 7th February, and sailing at daybreak on the Bth. The main Variety will be Gravenstein, with a small quantity of Worcester and Alfriston. . The next allotment after the Tamaroa has not yet been made, but it is anticipated that there will be no ship until about the 20th to 25th February. ' The board has decided to send increased quantities to Canada. To date, arrangements- are not completed, but it is hoped that the quantity will be in the rerion of from 50,000 to 60,000.
