NO "STRINGS" ATTACHED
(Received 18th January, 10 a.m.) . ST. JOHN'S, 17th January.
The loans extended to Newfoundland by the United Kingdom and Canada have not added to the likelihood of confederation with Canada, the Prime Minister (Mr. Alderdice) declared on Tuesday, stating that the loans had no strings attached to them.
