BROKEN BYLAWS
Offenders against the bylaws were dealt with at the Magistrate's Court yesterday afternoon by Messrs. T. Coltman and H. D. Grocott, J.P/s.. A fine •of 10s" was imposed on Sidney J. Rudd. for-joegligent-driying.... _ _ Harold G. Cole was fined £2 for driving in a manner that might have been dangerous to the public. Albert Bray, Ernest T.Kay, and Norman Myers were each fined £1, and Thomas Norris, juri., 10s, for similar offences." "" Driving past a stationary tram cost Harry Gaskin" £1. Thomas Hopcroft was convicted and ordered to 'pay 13s costs for failing to give way at an intersection. A fine of 10s was imposed on Hyman Hunt for having defective brakes on a motor-lorry. ' For driving without a licence Ernest T. Kay was fined 10s. Pines of 10s in each case were imposed on Martha Myers, Edward W. Oliver Abraham Van Eooyen, and National Motors, Ltd., for breaches of the parking regulations. Kenneth M. Stewart was fined £1 for a similar offence; For not having motor vehicles properly lighted after dark, Francis W-. Scoon Victor J. Tanner, Edward Tint, . and Young Way were each'fined 10s.' Reginald Miles was fined £1. Ivan E. Newson was fined 5s for not having a bicycle properly lighted after dark.
