WHOLESALE CHANGES

NEW YORK, 14th Jan. A wholesale shake-up of the first ten in both men's and women's singles was made by the ranking Committee of the United 'States Tennis Association yesterday in its recommendation for the national rankings list. The lists are headed by the holders of the American championships, Ellsworth Vines for the men, and Miss Helen Jacobs for the first time among the women. Otherwise only five of the 1931 first ten among the women are ranked for 1932. .

In the men's ranks George Lott, No. 2 in 1931, has dropped to No. 11, and seven others have been shifted, Wilmer Allison has advanced from No. 9 to second place behind Vines.
