A BIG DAY
FLIGHTS AT NEW PLYMOUTH
Sir Charles Kingsford Smith is exceedingly pleased at the number of people who wanted flights in the Southern Cross at New Plymouth yesterday. He had a record day, taking up between three and four hundred people. Sir Charles has never taken a greater number of people aloft in any one day in Australia. The Wellington Aero Club's Waco aeroplane, piloted by Plight-Lieutenant G. B. Bolt, had to deal with the overflow, and took 140 passengers aloft.
