SHEEPSKINS ADVANCE IN PRICE.

Wellington brokers held their customary sales of hides and sheepskins yesterday to the usual attendance of buyers, competition being animated throughout. Dry sheepskins showed an advance o£ %d to %d per lb and lambskins were %d to Id dearer. Hides were also in keen request, yearlings bringing 3-8 d more; me;dium and light-cows advanced l-Bd, whilst ■.fight ox were l-8d easier. Medium and heavy ox hides also showed an advance of l-8d to %d, but calfskins, were c 'a litt^ easier. The range of prices ■was as follows:—Dry sheepskins, halfbred 4d to 4Vzd, fine crossbred 3M to 4d, -medium, 2%d to 3%d, coarse 2d to 2%d, [half-wools 2d to 3%d, quarter-wools Id to "2d; pelts. Id to 134 d. Salted skins, pelts 7d, quarter-wools 2d to 6d, half-wools 4d "i.o Hid, three-quarter wools 9d to Is 3d, Jambs 2d to 4d.
