LONDON AND LOCAL SALES
Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having jreceived a "cable from their head office, under date of 13th January, on the opening of the sale on the 17th January. • "Anticipate demand good and general. ' .' "Some improvement in price most descriptions."
The. London' January series of sales will begin next Tuesday. The quantity available for these sales is 161,500 bates, including 38,200 ; new arrivals froin^ New Zealand. The market should be tested at the Wanganui sales to begin at 9 a.m. next Monday. A total catalogue,of 27,972 bales will be. submitted to buyers. Prices.- realised in the Wellington sheepskin sales,' held yesterday, showed a slight advance on the rates current at. these sales held last month.
