LONDON, 12th January. Though prices are unchanged very little business is passing in Sruithfield, where a pronounced feeling of uncertainty exists owing to the difficulty of foreseeing to ■what extent South America 'will reduce shipments. Another cause of uneasiness is the Irish situation, for a return to power of Mr. Cosgrave would mean an immediate increase in Free State cattle exports once an economic truce is reached..
