"Old Bill," who in private life is Jlr. William Busby, and whom tha artist Bruce Bairnsfather used as his model after the war owing to his resemblance to his war-time creation, has laid his five medals on the South' African war memorial at Leicester. >Ir. Busby says he feels that the country has not fulfilled its duty to the ex-servicemen. He therefore registered "this humble protest." He served in South Africa and Prance.
