ANNUAL COMMUNICATION
GRAND LODGE OF N.Z.
AUCKLAND, 23rd November. The annual communication of the Masonic Grand Lodge of New Zealand took place in Auckland to-day. There was a large attendance of representatives from every part of the Dominion. The Govcrnor-Geucral, Lord Bledisloe, was .re-elected and installed Master, his proposer, Mr. M. Thompson, Past Grand Master, paying a warm tribute to the service rendered to Freemasonry and to New Zealand by the four representatives of the King, Lord Plunket, Lord Jellicoe, Sir Charles Fergusson, and Lord Bledisloe. Lord Bledisloe having acknowledged the honour of his re-electiou to the highest Masonic office, Mr. S. S. Allen, of Matamata, was appointed Pro-Grand Master.
A long list of further elective oflicers, submitted by the Board of General Purposes, was approved. Mr. \V. A. Burns, jun., was appointed Grand Registrar. The next annual communication will be held in Dunedin. The installation of Lord Bledisloe took place in the; Town Hall to-night, before an attendance of 2500, the ceremony being an impressive one.
