LODGE MEETINGS
Heretaunga Lodge, No. 115, 1.0 0 F N.Z., held its fortnightly meeting at Petone, Bro. Woodgate, N.G., presiding over a large attendance. Vairous committees were appointed, including a. committee for the relief of those brothers who do not come under the Grand Lodge Unemployment Scheme. It was agreed to pay the expenses of sick visitors and travelling expenses of all delegates should they desire to accept same. Visitors of the evening were Bro. Pemberton, V.G., with brothers of Waiwhetu Lodge, who paid an official visit with the intention of playing for the "500" shield. Bro. L. Rule conveyed fraternal greetings from Auckland lodges. At the conclusion of business the "500" shield was played for, and resulted in the visitors being victorious. Bro. Woodgate presented the shield to Bro. Pemberton to take back to his lodge, and an excellent evening was brought to a close. Members of Bellevue Lodge, .No. 126, 1.0.0. F., N.Z., assembled recently at Lower Hutt for their bi-monthly meeting, N.G. Bro. E. A. Peterson presiding over a good attendance. The Christmas Tree Committee reported on the progress being made, and the evening concluded with cards.
The fortnightly meeting of Eahiri Eebekah Lodge, No. 49, 1.0.0. F., N.Z., was held recently, Sister Milford, N".G., presiding. Five candidates were nominated, and three initiated. It was resolved to hold a meeting on 30th November, to consider the advisability or otherwise of transferring to a new hall.
