A larger surplus is shown in the accounts of the Colonial Mutual Fire Insurance Company,. Limited, Melbourne, for the year ended 30th September. The surplus on underwriting is £9524, compared with £4514 for the preceding year, and the net profit for the year is £28,273, against £24,635.
