DUNEDIN, This Day

Mr. A. H. Fisher's Shambles mare, Bachelor's Idol, "was working the wrong way on the tan and tried to run off at the opening, with the result that' she hit a post and hurt herself so severely that it was necessary to end her sufferings. She was beautifully bred from -an. imported Gainsborough mare, Bachelor's Picture, and she would have been valuable at Ihe stud.
