The prospects of Herr Hitler gaia* ing the Chancellorship are now remota. THe Centre Party is far. from enthusiastic about a coalition with the Nazis, while Dr. Hugenberg's Nationalists-a«j definitely hostile; . ■
It is understood that Herr Hitler at I;he conference with President Hindenburg asked to be allowed to form a Presidential Ministry similar to Herr yon Papen's, but the President replied in the negative, saying that only a non-party leader was eligible to form a Presidential Cabinet.
LETTER TO PRESIDENT
# LONDON, 22nd November. According to the Berlin correspondents of several London papers, Herr Hitler has already decided that h« cannot comply, -with President Hinden- , burg's conditions, which two correspondents describe as a trap. Tlie "Daily Express" says:—"A con* clave between Herr' Hitler and hi* leading supporters ended in a victory for the Noes. - Herr Hitler ha« not given a clear refusal. Instead, h« sent a, long letter to the President requesting ' further information regard-* ing the conditions, which is expected to result in a letter to-day definitely refusing." '

BERLIN, 22nd November. It is understood that Herr Hitler will inform President Hindenburg tomorrow that it is impossible to form a Cabinet on President Hindenburg'g conditions, consequently it is useles* negotiating -with the other party leaders . .
