LONDON, 16th November.
The newspapers publish interviews with "Jimmy" "Walker, New York's former Mayor, whom they described as seated in a deck chair on a transatlantic liner with the actress Betty Compton by his side.
"I'm through with politics, and will never again^'accept public office," he ■Said. "I wish to deny the reports that I m going to Paris or elsewhere to establish residence and jjet a divorce. I lhall never do that. I hope this is my last Press notice.. I don't, want 'my name in the papers any more."
