NEW MOTOR SHIP

DEPARTURE FROM BELFAST

The ..new motor ship "Wanganella (formerly the Achimota), recently purchased by the Huddart-Parker Company for use in. the intercolonial service, is to leave Belfast on Tuesday next for Sydney, where she is due on Ist January, according to advice received by cable in Australia. Accord-

ing to the same message the "Wanganella will enter the service immediately, but no advice to that effect has yet been received by the local office of the company. It is considered probable, however, that the new ship, the first motor ship to be used exclusively in the intercolonial mail service, will leave Sydney on 13 th January for "Wellington, in which event she will be due here on. 17th January. It was also reported that the builder* of the ship, Messrs. Hafland and "Wolff, had asked the Prince of "Wales to inspect the ship while on a visit to Belfast.
