CAPE ; TOWN,-21st November.

The South African George Kefr at Durban, established a parachute jump record of 17,300 feet. He stated that he began losing strength at 17,000 feet, and let go without warning the pilot. He fell hundreds of feet before pulling the ripcord and swung violently. The cold turned to warmth, and. he;smoked cigarettes and chewed biscuits to counteract sickness. H& drifted 10. miles and was 20 minutes" descending. '
