THE FINAL DAY
WICKET DOUBTFUL
(Received-22nd November, 2 p.m.) MELBOURNE, This Day. Although the weather is fine for the continuation of the match, England v. An Australian Eleven, the wicket is doubtful.
In view of what happened yesterday and the report about the state of the wicket to-day, there is a, likelihood of runs being hard to get against England's battery of bowlers. . Under ordinary circumstances the scoring of the 125 runs needed for victory would be a comparatively easy matter for Woodfull, Bradman, and company, but the Australians are likely to be out to a hard task. It should be a rare battle, with special interest in the way in which the probable Australian Test players, Bradman in particular, shape on a difficult wicket. Progress reports will be posted at the "Evening Post."
