WORLD CONFERENCE
POSTPONEMENT TILL APRIL
NOT UNMIXED EVIL
LONDON, 21st November. '•'The Times" says that there is no need to take tragically the hitch by which the ' meeting of the World Economic Conference has been postponed to April, and possibly later. "More harm than good would be done by holding, the conference before the' participating Governments have made up their minds as to what is practicable," it says. "The,experts' work at Geneva has been concerned with facilitating the working of International finance, and they failed to realise that economic internationalism ■is no less dangerous than economic nationalism. Industrial countries like Britain, France, and Germany cannot let their agriculture be ruined."
