During the discussion on the Canterbury resolution favouring the introduction of the new goods transport regulations by legislation instead of by Or-der-in-Couneil, at the "Wellington Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday night, Mr. D. Rodie, Commercial Manager of the Railways, did not, as was reported previously, second the motion of the chairman for the adoption of the resolutions. Mr. Rodie drew attention to the lack of knowledge of the Transport Licensing Act shown in the motion, which was seconded by Mr. D. J. McGowan. '
