Winds have been mainly light or moderate, but strong at times about Cook and Foveaux Straits. Northwards of New Plymouth and Kapler the directions have been somewhat variable, but elsewhere nortnerlies have prevailed. An anti-cyclone still covers the Dominion, its area of highest pressure today being over the northern half of the Xorth Island. , .
