(Received 22nd November, 11.30 a.m.) LONDON, 21st November; Mr. Agnew, presiding at the Lake View and Star "annual meeting, said the year's results were no mean achievement. Aided by exchange and the increased price of gold, the company had extinguished its indebtedness out of revenue. They; were, approaching completion of the work for increasing the plant - capacity to 40,000 tons monthly, and had strengthened! the ore reserve and placed the company in a position to resume dividends.
Ho emphasised all the values of the development work. Ore reserves were taken in terms of sterling as at the beginning of Ceptember.
There was every prospect in the near future o£ ore of 25s.ton value and upward becoming profitable Svith reduced working' costs,' irrespective of the enhanced value of gold. Future dividends would be halfyearly or three times a year.
