(By Telegraph.—Press: Association.)
AUCKLAND, 20th November.
, A professional wrestling contest held in the Town Hall on Saturday evening between: George Walker' and./ Dean Detton was one of the brightest of the season. Walker won at the end of the sixth round, Detton being unable to: continue after beingthrown several times with side headlocks, and then, slammed.
In the previous- round Detton gained a Jail with a body press, after having sent Walker to the mat. a few times with flying tackles....';'' .'■-.''<
Detton proved himself a'very scientific wrestler, but this science was more than counter-balanced by Walker's advantage in weight and strength.; ::
