The .second series o£ matches in the Wellington Lawn Tennis Association's interclub championships was no more fortunate than the first. On Saturday, high wind rose to. near gale force in the afternoon and the players at Miramar Grounds were faced with, very unpleasant conditions. At; 5.15 p.m. heavy rain began to fall, and most of the contests were still undecided when play was: abandoned for the day. .Prior to this; however, Brougham Hill had beaten Thorndon in the women's senior championship, Brougham Hill winning all five of the matches played, while Keatoun had gained an easy win over Thorndon in the men's third grade event. The .question of the uncompleted matches will be. considered by the Wellington Lawn Tennis Association at its meeting this week. It is possible that a replay will be ordered..
