HUTT VALLEY BANNER
The first round of the Hutt Valley Banner Competition was played on Saturday, under rather difficult weather conditions, for so boisterous was the wind that at times bowk were turned into tlio adjoining rink, aud the calculated run of bowls was greatly interfered with. Greens were on the heavy side. Upper Hutt made the best showing with a 75 per cent, win, Lower Hutt running a good second. The results were:— : .AT PETONE. Against Woburn.—McEwen 10, Jonea
