VOICE AND IMAGE

TELEVISION TEST

SUCCESSFUL EXPERIMENT

LONDON, 9th November.

One of the most successful television experiments was carried out to-day when voice and image were transmitted 600 miles from England- to a Copenhagen theatre by Mr. Carl Brissen. He appeared on' the screen in Copenhagen as clear and as definite as on a cinemasheet, except for a slight flickering, and: the voice'reproduction was perfect. . Up to the present the reproduction of voice and image simultaneously has been carried out only over short distances. At a recent trial between England and Australia,' a strip of typewritten matter was "televised" from England arid read in Australia.
