A Misfit?
How many times does the average man try on the average new suit? This question has been asked by a Paris Magistrate who has been called upon to restore peace between, a tailor andsa customer (states a correspondent). The customer complained that he had to try on a suitj for which he had paid in advance £10, 19 times, and asserted that the garment was still such a misiit that he would be ashamed to appear in it. "It is most insulting to say such a thing," the tailor replied in Court. '' The suit fits monsieur like a glove. lam proud of it. If he would only wear it a little ho would be proud of it, too. I doubt whether any other tailor would take such pains over a suit." "Precisely," retorted the muchtried customer. "Any other tailor would know that clothes which do not fit after the second fitting never will." The Magistrate decided that the plaintiff must put on the suit once more in the presence of an export, whose opinion will have to be accepted as final.
