Vne committee of' the Banks Peninsula I.acmg Uub. after discussing the position that had arisen on account of the abandonment of the meeting at Motukarara on 20th October, decided this week to write to the Minister of Internal .Affairs asking for permission to race at Riccartou on Saturday, 17th December. It was reported to the meeting of stewards that officials of the Canterbury Jockey Club had.been approached and no obstacle would be offered from that quarter to the club's holding "a meeting at Riccar.ton. .
