CENTRAL BANK BILL
PRESENTATION NEXT WEEK
It is' understood that tho members of-Cabinet who havo given particular attention to the proposed central banking legislation consider that the establishment of tho bank is in tho interests of the credit structure of the Dominion, and there is a desire that the measure should be placed on tho Statute Book.
The Bill is ready for presentation to tho House Of Eepresentatives, but the Prime Minister (the Eight Hon. G. W. ForbCß) announced to-day that it would not bo presented until the return of the Minister of Finance (tho Hon. W. Downie Stewart), who arrives back in New Zealand from Ottawa and London on Wednesday.
•It is stated in some quarters that the Bill will bo welcomed by the advocates of the high exchange as.it will provide- a better moans of carrying out their policy. ■
Piloting a Puss Moth, Mr. Douglas Mill arrived at • Wellington yesterday afternoon from Auckland. Ho'will probably leave on the return, trip tomorrow.
