Auckland. — The Melanesian Mission Board has received a cable from Captain Stanton, of the wrecked Southern Cross,. stating that he has been compelled by the weather to return to Vila in the chartered vessel in which he set out to pick up the remainder of the crew. He has arranged for the llorinda, which leaves Auckland to-night, to call at Aneityum Island and pick up all hands. He expects to charter a, craft to proceed to Xulagi on 25th November.
