A scheme has been approved by the City Council for the improvement of Boulcott avenue, AHenby terrace, and the access ways in the vicinity, and authority has been granted for negotiations to be entered into to allow the work to be ..proceeded with as soon as funds are available. The resurfacing of Tinakori road between. Park street and the Hutt road is to be put in ha.nd as soon as funds are available; the estimated cost of the work is £350. Consideration is also to- be given, in connection with' next year's estimates, to the surface-sealing of Jessie street.
Improvements torPalliser road are to be undertaken as a relief vrork, but the question of: acquiring: property required for the diversion road isto be held over till, money is available. Another work to be undertaken as: a relief work is the formation'of Tawa: street as far as the western boundary of the city, and another, the construction of a connecting road: between Brooklyn and Highbury.
