DELIVERY OF A - CHEQUE
"The sequence of the delivery- of letters. on ■ a :■ day in May last had an unexpected':result for 'Greater Australasian Klma, Ltd.—a result which endued in a' petition to Parliament yesterday.' ;■; ''. The emplpyee, having anumber of letters to deliver, first delivered tnoso in ■ close proximity; to - his - employer's office, and then found that'he could, not deliver the cheque because .the Income Tax office was closed.; The cheque was delivered the first thing next'morning, but as the.time:for payment;had.•then elapsed, a penalty of '& 59 4slodJwas levied.
