Training conditions were excellent at Awapiiniyesterday morning, and thetracks were fast.. . Equitant (Voitre) ran half a mile in 53 l-ssec. • This mare has been showing signs of lameness of late. Senegal (Hepburn). ran half a mile on the outside of the course proper in 52 3-5 see —a satisfactory effort. Interlocutor (Voitre) was restricted to a three furlongs' gallop, which he accomplished in 3S 2-ssec. . Jean Ladosio (Thompson) was holding a slight advantage over Mercian Prince (H. F. Gray) at the close of half a mile run in 54sec:' Beau Gallante (Miles), who was under a-firm hold throughout, ran a mile in lmmso%sec. This -Top Gallant gelding is putting great vim into his work. Beaconsfield (L. Jones), after a slow first furlong, got to the end of five furlongs, in Imin 8 2-sseo, and seven furlongs in Imin 36sec. """.'...
. Patearqa (Pagan) had Jbyspear (Chisholm) as partner-over six furlongs: on the plough.- The latter,- who has always had the reputation of being a good track worker, finished the stronger.
