TO FINANCE PUBLIC WORKS
MOVEMENT IN EUROPE
(Eeceived 17th November, 11 a.m.) PABIS, 16th November. An English, French, and German bankers' consortium, capitalised at £136,000,000, is financing public works in Europe and the Near East. England and France finance 40 per cent, each and Germany 20 per cent. Work is allocated in the same- proportion. The headquarters are in France. The chairman is a Frenchman, and the British participators are the firms of Baring and Sehroeder.
