UPPER HUTT RELIEF

At the last meeting of the Upper Hutt Citizens' Relief Committee, the month's work was reviewed. In the boot shop 133 pairs of boots were repaired at a cost to the committee of £14 19s. Four tons of potatoes have been sold, at a los 3 of £0 7s. Fifty-eight families have been assisted with extra rations, and 32 dozen cgs and 379 pints of milk have been distributed to homes where there is sickness,-or where there are delicate children. The committee thanks those who contributed groceries weekly during the winter months, and those who are still giving milk and vegetables. It also acknowledges the following donations:—Mrs. Jlacarthy Reid £25, Mrs. Balcombe Brown £3, Mr. W. Ferguson £1, Mr. Blewman 12s 6d, Mr Deller 13s Gd, Mr. Parser 11s, Mr. Crai* 15s, Mr. Quinn 2s.
