AMBULANCE CALLS

CASES IN OTAKI

On the recommendation of the superintendent (Mr. F. Roffe) it was decided at the monthly meeting of the Free Ambulance Board to-day that calls to Otaki be left to the Free Ambulance in Palmerston North to attend to. Mr. Roffe said that up to the present calls from there had been attended to by tho Wellington service. Otaki was out of the board's district, and as a Free Ambulanco had been established in Palmerston North transports should be arranged from there. The financial support received from Otaki would go to tho northern service. The chairman (Mr. G. J. B. Norwood) said that, if necessary, Wellington would attend to cases on tho border-lino, ana Palmerston. North would be expected to reciprocate in a like manner.
