LONG SUPREME COURT LIST

HAMILTON, 15th November.

In opening the Supreme Court sessions at Hamilton to-day Mr. Justice Herdman said he regretted he was unable to congratulate the Hamilton district upon the size of the criminal list. There were ten eases to consider of alleged theft, four of an alleged sexual nature, alleged breaking and" entering, and alleged arson. True bills were returned fn all cases.

William Gordon Stokes, aged 28, on a charge of unlawful carnal knowledge, was found guilty, with a strong recommendation to leniency.
