MASSED BAND PARADE.
Six of. the leading Wellington bandswill hold a massed parade and concert ia the Basin Reserve at 2.30 p.m. to-morrow» Prior to the concert the bands will meet at various points in the city and march to the Reserve, playing well-knowa. marches, continuous music being. supplie<s' all along the; line of march. Upon arrival' at the Basin the bands will parade ii» massed% formation and play the .marches. "The Great Little Army" and "Invercar*. gill," and the hymn "Nearer My God ia* Thee." A specially selected programmel of music by the individual bands will foli : low. The bands are now entirely depen*1. dent on the generosity of the music-lovinrf' public, and it is hoped that there will bl" a liberal response to the silver coin col^ lection. The first massed band item is timed to start sharp at 2.45 p.m. Tha full detailed programme is advertised ia ' this issue.
