SUNDAY SCHOOL UNION
! The monthly meeting of the Sunday School Union was held on Thursday evening. Mr. Alex. Johnson, the president, was in the chair, and twenty-two delegates attended. A motion of sympathy was passed with Mr. Arthur Gibbs, vice-president, whose mother died recently. Miss Stock and Mr. AA:. L. Edwards were congratulated on gaining 100 per cent, of marks in the teachers' examination. It was reported that Mi-. South had donated two teachers' commentaries for presentation to these two teachers. A donation from St. James's School -was received for the prize fund. Tlie president reported that a very successful meeting had been held last week when the awards won by the Hutt A Talley schools were presented. It is hoped to make this_an annual event in the Hutt A ralley. Negotiations are proceeding with the Palmerston North Union in regard to a joint convention in that city next Easter.
This evening in the Town Hall there will be a rally of Sunday School scholars and a prize distribution.
