Miss Euth Mantz, a graduate of Le and Stanford. Junior University, Cahforma, was recently in New Zealand m quest of biographical material for a study of the life and work of ■Kathenne Mansfield. She i s now in £? n, d°n> wliei'e 6he met Mrs- Cecil M. •t'lckthall, who was a sister of Katherme Mansfield and formerly in Wellingt0 f %? 3* M™s Beauchamp, a daughter of: Sir Harold Beauchamp. Miss Mantz was .continuing her work, which was U? das taJ en on the wish of tJl° directors of Stanford, and for which she obtained a travelling scholarship. She has informed Mrs. Pickthall that she had met an Italian student from the' Modern Language University in Venice Who was making a study of current criticism of the work of Katherine Mansfield for-a thesis she is writing tor her doctor's degree. The works of the New Zealand writer, Miss Mantz was informed, are now translated into Italian, and are much appreciated in
